Perth Scorchers XI Confirm Participation in ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League

The Perth Scorchers, one of Australia’s most successful and widely supported T20 teams, have officially confirmed their participation in the upcoming ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League (GSL), adding further international star power to the groundbreaking tournament.

Renowned for their winning culture, strong leadership, and consistent performances in Australia’s KFC Big Bash League, the Scorchers bring a formidable pedigree to the Global Super League. Their inclusion underscores the GSL’s growing reputation as a premier international T20 competition, uniting champion teams from around the cricketing world in Guyana.

The ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League is designed to showcase elite franchise talent while strengthening cricket’s global footprint. Hosted in Guyana - a nation with a proud cricketing heritage - the tournament provides a world-class stage for international clubs to compete for global supremacy.

Sir Clive Lloyd, Chairman of the Global Super League, welcomed the Scorchers’ participation.

Playing as the Perth Scorchers XI, the current Big Bash League champions will be the third Australian team to talk part in the GSL, with Cricket Victoria and Hobart Hurricanes having also taken part in the tournament. ​

About the ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League (GSL)

The Global Super League is an annual T20 cricket tournament hosted in Guyana, bringing together teams from top cricketing nations. The 2025 tournament will feature five teams competing in 11 thrilling matches, all held at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence, from 10 to 18 July 2025. The competing teams for the 2025 tournament will be Central Stags from New Zealand, Dubai Capitals from the UAE, the Guyana Amazon Warriors from the West Indies, Hobart Hurricanes from Australia and Rangpur Riders from Bangladesh.
